The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently been revising cyanotoxin guidelines for drinking water quality (GDWQ). Those for anatoxin-a, cylindrospermopsin, and saxitoxin were concluded earlier this year. However, the draft revised background document for microcystin is now available for review. The documents will also inform the revision of the Guidelines for Safe Recreational Water Environments.
